A great result in the deep sand at the track in Rhenen, Holland for our English riders in the final round of the European Championship 2010.  Terry Challinor (Triumph-Metisse) and Scott Hayworth (Faber-BSA/PES) confirmed their dominance in 2010, by taking the 66+ and 35+ European Championships respectively.

Terry is now champion for the second year running, and Scott won his hotly contended group at the first attempt.

Roger Dunford (Faber-BSA) also had just reward for his consistent riding, by taking 3rd in the 60+ group.

Conditions were difficult due to the "normal" deep Dutch sand, but also temperatures soared to the mid 30s, which sapped energy levels.

SUN, SAND AND ENGLISH SUCCESS.
The races were shortened on medical advice, as the conditions were so extreme.

If that was not bad enough the 35+ group had the inevitable thunderstorm with heavy rain thrown in!

Despite everything, all went well for most English riders, Scott never dropped a race, and Terry continued his battle with Jan Keizer (Holland). Keith Best (Bultaco) was going well, when mechanical problems forced him to finish on foot.

There was an excellent turn out from English riders, who all did England proud, enjoying the wonderful camaraderie of european meetings.
The next event on the European calendar is the Trophy des Nations in Gallerate, Italy on 18th September. Watch this space.

Faber Frames in the Media.
Issue 14 of Classis Birt Bike Magazine see's a four page editorial on yours truly.
Under the title of "Phoenix Faber" (Page 40 through to 43) the article chronicles  Howard's and Miles's friendship since 1964, their work with legendary frame builder Eric Cheney and a chance  conversation Howard had with a pal in 1992, which bought a reunion with his old friend Miles and the launch of Faber Frames, as well the fire at our Hampshire workshop in 2000 which devastated years of work, through to the NEW MKIII Motocross frame which suits the BSA B50 engine.
Faber contacted Ken Sprayson - who built the originals for BSA, he lent us his plans and drawings and we built the frames to those, so our customers are getting an exact replica to all intents and purposes!

Your Chance to have your bike on our website.....Just send us details of any Faber framed bike you have built with photo's and details of the build and we will showcase it on our NEW gallery page.
